Australia defeats India with a well-balanced performance

After consecutive losses to India and Sri Lanka, the Australian team came to the ground with a single motive i.e.  to defeat the leaders of the series-India. And their motive was clear from their actions. Their performance was well-balanced; batting was great and so was bowling- the classic Australian team.

Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting was a team effort. They worked together to create a respectable target of 288 in 50 overs. Partnership of 100 runs between M. Hussey and Forrest was remarkable. Indian bowlers had a tough time today. Pathan did claim few wickets, but it was not enough to keep the Aussies scoreboard at limit.

India on the other hand made a sloppy start and a tragic finish. The openers toppled and other top order batsman struggled as well. India lost their wickets quickly while the runs on the board came at a slow pace.

Dhoni tried his utmost best but even his efforts were in vain as he got no support from team mates. Eventually, Dhoni's wicket followed confirmation of  victory for the Aussies. Australian bowlers were marvelous; specially Hilfenhaus, who claimed 5 important wickets. Lee was good as well claiming 3 wickets.
