Australia move to finals-India waiting for a miracle

Player of the Match: David Warner

Australia defeated India by 87 runs in a chase of 253 runs. This victory ensures place of Australia in the finals whereas India needs to win their next match against Sri Lanka with a large margin and also they need Sri Lanka to be defeated by Australia in the last match. At current situation, India really need a miracle.

Australia began their innings by batting first. The absence of Captain Michael Clarke was filled by acting captain Shane Watson. Australian team scored a total of 252 runs; Australian batsman were not able to perform their usual best. Except few, most Australian batsman were seen struggling with their bat, including their captain Watson, who was out for 1 runs. Sehwag, who has been in terrible batting form, took the most wicket for Indian team which was 3; he was still terrible with the bat today as well :)

But it was not just Australian team, India too was terrible, or not even worse at batting. Like in previous matches, India quickly lost their openers and most of their top order batsman. Australian bowler kept the pressure and it all ended when India settled for a just 165. None of the Indian batsman performed well including Dhoni, who returned to team after being banned for a match.
