Fighting the Cancer- Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj Singh, who is an established player in Indian Cricket team has been suffering from lung cancer. Though the case is not severe, it still is affecting his career and Indian team is missing one of their best players in the team.Yuvraj Singh is an important middle-order batsman. This thirty year old Punjabi from Chandigarh is most well known for his 6 sixes in a single over bowled by Stuart Broad of England during the match in World T20 in 2007.

He is not just great with bat but also good with the ball. During this World Cup 2011, Yuvraj Singh became the only all-rounder to make over 300 runs and take 15 wickets in a single World Cup. For this he was declared Man-of-the-Series.

But soon after the World Cup, things went bad for him. He suffered from few injuries but worst than that his health deteriorated. It was in this October that doctors detected a tumor in his left lung. The news was revealed only in November. After being diagnosed from cancer, he has been ruled out of the Indian cricket team. He is currently going through chemotherapy in Boston, USA.
