Match tied between India and Sri lanka-Commonwealth Bank Series

Sri Lanka has already lost two matches in this series and have no points while the other team have 8 points each. The match was a must win for Sri Lankan team. But they may be disappointed to share the points. The match was full of excitement till the last ball.
Chandimal after his half century
 The toss was won by Sri Lanka and they elected to bat first. While the openers were lost early by Lanka, Chandimal aided by Jayawardane made an effort to establish the score. They made a partnership of 94 runs from 100 balls. But after they were dismissed, other batsman fell easily. Sri Lanka finished their Innings at 236/9.
Gambhir after his half century

The Indian chase of 237 runs was guided by Gambhir as India lost their another opener Tendulkar early in the match. Like the previous match against Australia, Gautam Gambhir played exceptionally. But again he missed out on his century. In a similar manner, Dhoni continued the chase. He was able to draw the match. At the last ball, he was able to score 3 runs to tie the score at 236. Dhoni, held his ground under big pressure. Hats-off.
